Jeff Carlson , PT

Jeff grew up in southeastern Connecticut and received his Physical Therapy degree from Quinnipiac University in 1998. While at QU, Jeff was active with the intercollegiate baseball team where he was a starting pitcher for four years. Following college, Jeff put his medical career on temporary hold and pursued a professional baseball career after being drafted by the New York Yankees. Jeff, subsequently, played two seasons of minor league baseball.
Following his baseball career, Jeff went back to medicine and accepted a job at the prestigious Steadman-Hawkins clinic, in Vail, Colorado. At Steadman-Hawkins, Jeff worked as a physical therapist in their outpatient sports medicine facility. While in Vail, Jeff worked with an extremely active group of clients. From “weekend warriors” to professional athletes, Jeff was exposed to some of the best athletes from all around the world. He worked for the Denver Broncos for a season, consulted with the Colorado Rockies for three years, and trained and rehabilitated the U.S. ski and snowboard team members. He gained extensive knowledge and experience in the rehabilitation of non-operative and post-operative knee and shoulder injuries. He strives to enable all patients to return to full function, potentially even better than they were pre-injury.
In 2003 Jeff moved back east and has been in Boston since early 2004. While in Boston, he has worked at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also managed an outpatient sports PT clinic in Brookline for two and a half years before joining the team at Beantown Physio. Jeff is extremely excited to be a part of this excellent practice, where top quality care is goal number one.
